Not a lot of posts, but a lot going on

The past week has been very full of activity! Outside of work, which has also been busy, we embarked on toilet learning for The Boy. His first day was Saturday (21st), and while the morning was a HUGE success through nap time, the afternoon (post-nap) was a lot of messes.  Sunday was the exact opposite. [...]

    A win and a pause

First, Kevin’s team knocked off the number one team yesterday. He’s modest enough not to post it here, but I wanted to give him and his team a shout out for a great win! Kevin told me he also played well, so that’s a nice addition as well.

And the pause. I am probably going to [...]

    Negativity and a Positive Attitude

Lately I have been reading fewer and fewer blogs. It is not that I do not think many provide valuable information, but my Google Reader count was causing me undo stress! Every time I’d log on, I’d be further and further behind. I have found that un-subscribing was a good thing for me to do, [...]

    Sometimes I Wonder…

Sometimes I wonder if I invite confrontation. Yes, I disagree to keep debates and discussions moving, but as far as every day life, I am a happy, friendly, outgoing person. However, I also believe in certain order and following the rules. I use my blinker when no one is around. I stop for the red [...]

    Struggles and Successes

This past week ended with a bang– and not of the positive style. This is how it went down.
My workload has been rather great these days, as we are down one full-time economist. Really, my job is to supervise and direct the junior economists, but we have just one part time student. He does a [...]

    Ice day and more

This might be the most random post ever…

The weekend was uneventful. We did hit up the Owasso Target, and let me tell you– every time I go there, I am reminded why it is worth the drive. It far exceeds the Target on Yale and is not a pain to get to like the one [...]

    Dryers are important, right?

The dryer is broken. That’s what the guy said yesterday, and he can also fix it. He was supposed to call today, but I haven’t heard from him. We’ll see what happens.
In the mean time, I looked for the washer and dryer that I want, and the combination is over $2000. Needless to say, [...]

    Hemorrhaging

Today I feel like we are bleeding money. It is my own fault I suppose. Certain things have been put off for a variety of reasons– primarily financial– but with Kevin working, I am trying to get them all done before the well runs dry, so to speak. (That’s the summer, btw, and it won’t [...]

    Catching up quickly

I wish I could say that Sunday was better than Saturday, but it was not. Point blank it stunk. I wasn’t feeling real well in the morning, so we skipped church. Thankfully. Because by The Boy’s nap time, I was down for the count. There were some cute moments– like when I told him I [...]

    Melting my mommy heart

Tonight while driving home, The Boy and I had this conversation.
Me: TheBoy? (insert his real name)
TB: Yes? (the entire word– not yeah or huh)
    Me: I love you.
TB: I love you too! (not kidding… all those words emphasis on too)
    Me: heart melting
