    Feeling old

OK. To be clear, I realize that I am relatively young, and perhaps this post should be more aptly titled– Life Changes.
Let me start from the beginning…kind of. I used to enjoy the challenge of shopping– finding a deal, the right fit, etc. Then I had The Boy. I then realized that I had not [...]

    You know you’re a mother when…

…your son races in to the bathroom, so you rush to switch to the other bathroom in the house, so he can use the one with a step-stool. Yes, that’s right. I cut it short and switched bathrooms, so he would not have an accident. LOL!

A New Day, A New Opportunity

Yesterday ended as horribly as it began, but today started fresh and new. I stayed in bed longer than I had intended, reading a book, but it was worth it. When I finally got up and started moving around, I heard The Boy’s sweet voice calling, “Mommy. Can you please come lay with me.” Of [...]

Mama said there’ll be days like this…

With all due respect to The Shirelles–
Mama said there’ll be days like this,
There’ll be days like this Mama said
    (Mama said, mama said)
Mama said there’ll be days like this,
There’ll be days like this my Mama said
    (Mama said, mama said)
Today stunk. I could sit here and list the reasons, but really it boiled down to The [...]

I have been a bad bad blogger!

Truth be told, I needed some time away to deal with life. Oh, wonderful life. We have been living it fully!
I came home for Labor Day weekend only to bail on returning to DC. Well, not exactly. The Boy was ready and needing for me to be home, and my supervisor in DC was willing [...]

    Many Different Days

When Dr. Seuss died, some “new” manuscripts were found. One of these is a book on colors titled My Many Colored Days. One of my favorite quotes each time I read it to The Boy is:

    Some days are yellow.
    Some are blue.
    On different days
    I’m different too.

Most days, I am happy (yellow), but some days are [...]

    Chicago 2009

Chicago. 2009. Oh what a trip! We had a BLAST. The Boy was totally off schedule, but did exceptionally well with it.  We went to the Children’s Museum, ate, napped, ate, gathered in our room for social fun, Cruised the lake (while we ate), napped before an amazing dinner, hung out, and had an amazing [...]

After St. Louis was the after party?

OK. Not really, but I’m running low on title creativity! My flight was…you guessed it…delayed, so I got back to Tulsa a little later than planned. Not a big deal.
Saturday I went to work– redoing the landscaping. I’m sorry, but I do not have a finished picture. Hmm… anyway… I planted more hostas and some [...]
