    January in pictures

I realized yesterday that I had not downloaded any pictures off of the cameras during the month of January! I know. Hard to believe. While most of them are of The Boy, here are a few others.

    Ice storm coming…

Ever since the ice storm of December 2007, I have been a bit jumpy any time an ice storm is predicted for Tulsa. We were without power for nearly two weeks.  Unfortunately, they are predicting a big one for the Tulsa area beginning overnight tonight, turning to sleet and then snow as the day goes [...]

    Feeling old

OK. To be clear, I realize that I am relatively young, and perhaps this post should be more aptly titled– Life Changes.
Let me start from the beginning…kind of. I used to enjoy the challenge of shopping– finding a deal, the right fit, etc. Then I had The Boy. I then realized that I had not [...]

    When it rains, it pours?

Well, things were going smoothly. I use the past tense for a reason. Last week on Thursday, I went to work feeling a little like I was going to be coming down with something and within two hours I was full on sick! I felt like I had been hit by a bus! Of course, [...]

    Congratulations

Kevin was voted #5 in the Tulsa World Sportswriters top TU Athletes from 2000-09.  Some might argue he is listed too low (like our realtor), but I say, “Way to go!”

Merry Christmas from our family to yours!

Wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas. We hope everyone has a special day celebrating Jesus’ birth with those around them.

Our celebrating hasn’t gone exactly as planned, but we’re having a very special Christmas just the same. We were not able to visit friends on Christmas Eve or on Christmas Day, but we have had fun [...]

    New Glasses and other stuff…

What a whirlwind in our household! I’m sure we’ve done other things since my last post, but I’m picking up here. The Boy’s blog will have more pictures and adventures.
On Friday, we celebrated The Boy’s birthday at school. He had a blast picking out his cupcake color, stirring the batter, painting his birthday canvas, and [...]

The ups and downs of basketball

Well, The Boy and I had a mostly good week while Kevin had a downer week. He broke his hand this week, and after visiting the doctor in Tehran today is now sitting out for three weeks while it heals some. We are unsure of what this means and if the team will continue to [...]

    Holiday Traditions– A contest opportunity

A few days ago, a fellow basketball wife and friend of mine, Erin, posted about the importance of traditions in making holidays special. Her post really has me thinking about the traditions I enjoy and what makes the holidays special to me (including and besides Jesus’ birth) and how that has changed through the years.  [...]
