So. Someday things in my life will run smoothly for more than a week at a time. We have been running around getting things in order to help the summer slow down. In doing so, I have been searching endlessly to find information on when I can purchase my 2010 Prius. They are unavailable in Oklahoma. The dealer here is apparently not the brightest bulb on the tree or pretends to know nothing thinking I will give up. Other dealers in other states are already DELIVERING these cars to buyers.  Some have one or two on their lot for sale.  I found this out last night when I was scouring the net for more information after the Envoy decided not to start.

Oh yes, the Envoy is in the driveway, not starting… we tried jumping it, tested the battery, etc. No clue what is happening to that thing, so today we will get it towed to the mechanic shop a mile or so away. FRUSTRATING!  Kevin has an appointment this morning, so I had a co-worker take me to a rental spot bright and early, was late to work (who cares?) and then Kevin was off with the rental. Hopefully it is nothing major with the Envoy, but I am so tired of it that I am considering trading the thing in and buying two cars this summer. Well, a new car and a used something for Kevin.

Anyway– in the midst of all of this, we are leaving bright and early Thursday to fly to Minnesota. Usually I have a schedule set weeks in advance. This time… well, I kind of started thinking about it yesterday! So very unlike me… at least I have the housesitter lined up and ready to collect mail, water plants, and all that jazz.

The gutter man (excellent man, by the way!) is supposed to put up our new gutters today. His daughter is in labor though, so I expect (hope?) he will leave to go to the birth. She’s a home-birther on baby number three and a fellow LLL-er.

Work is crazy… I am going to be out of the office as much as in it over the next month or two. Fun times, yet also stressful.

Oh. The dell is still broken. Contemplating taking it to Minnesota for Dennis to try to fix…or delivering it to a friend this week. I’d kind of like to have it for all the travel I have coming up.

Lots of friends are having babies this week. A big shout out to the ladies birthing the babies! (and their supporters as well)

All this madness, and yesterday I was telling a friend that it’s “just another bump in the road” (the Envoy that is), which it is. An annoying bump. Like those rumble strips. But life is still good. :)
