As some of you know and others do not, I have been busy. That is not news in and of itself, but I thought I would share what I have been up to. I will continue to write about the basketwife “stuff,” but that will probably have to wait until AFTER I go before my committee on Tuesday.

In the midst of the chaos, I did take some time off to go to a ball game with some people from church. It was a lot of fun, and I found out that Driller’s stadium has some good beer.

Before anyone thinks I got too lazy, I worked hard last weekend to do some upgrades to our landscaping.  More specifically, I dumped dirt and mulch in to the front bed, after tilling the soil by hand, and then planted some azaleas and flowers.  I also mowed the lawn and finally relieved my backyard of this mountain of sticks.

Yesterday, I was busy picking up trash with a bunch of my coworkers. It was gross, but necessary. I really do not understand how people are so lazy that they cannot put their trash in the cans provided. There are three or four around the pond near my work, but hardly any trash actually IN them.

Last night, there was a nice surprise.

OK, not too big of a surprise, because I did order the Vita-Mix. I love it already. I made a lovely green smoothie that was really brown. I should have listened to my friend, Solange, when she told me that red fruit plus green spinach makes a poopy brown color, but guess what? It still tasted GOOOD! MMM…nummy!

Today I am off working on my papers. I pray I can get this all done! STRESSED, but smiling!

Kevin’s team lost in double overtime today. They play again Monday. Pray for his knee and its healing! And a win! Please! :)

OK, back to “real” writing, and I promise to get pictures of The Boy and video on his blog soon! I have a TON!
