How do I know it is time to write about Kevin?
Our pastor asks about him and mentions the blog. LOL! Hi Pastor Mike! <insert me waving at you!>
This would be so much better if Kevin wrote it, but here I go anyway.
Well, the regular season ended. Kevin’s team finished in 4th (correct me if I am wrong Kevin), and his team had the option of playing home or away first. They play a best of three series, with the team that has the highest point margin hosting the third game. So– if team a wins the first game by five, team b wins the second game by 10, team b gets to host the third game. Keeping that in mind, the mangement of Kevin’s team chose to play on the road first. This defies logic to me, but whatever. Kevin’s team won their first game on the road by five. They also won the second game– this time the margin was fifteen points.
In the playoffs, they still play just one game a week. It is a painfully SLOW process! If they need a third game, that would be played the Thursday after the second game, but still… painfully slow.
Kevin says he feels the best he has in years, so praise God for that.
The second round begins with Kevin’s team playing at home Monday. They are the lower seed this time and playing a tough opponent, Saba.
This is the time of year that I wish that Kevin could “just come home already,” but at the same time I am grateful for each and every win. A true double edged sword.
