You know, it all comes down to one key idea that I try very hard to live by - Don't be an a**hole. I watch where I stand, how I drive and basically how I affect others in the lives we all go about leading. And you know what? It's not hard. It takes very little effort and not a whole lot of thought.

This woman obviously does not understand the concept.

Even when confronted, you're thinking ahead and leaving the Boy in the car. Your kid is so lucky.

It's that good old sense of entitlement. People think they deserve certain things and that the rules apply to everyone but them.

The REALLY funny part to me...

This afternoon, as I pulled in to the drive and all the spots were full, I looked DIRECTLY at the sign near where she stopped and it says-- NO PARKING OR STOPPING! Seriously.

*shaking my head*

Not following the rules is a direct result of the "everyone's special" mentality which seems to have infected the American psyche. I only see it getting worse as this generation of children gets further down the road of life. Good grief; Timothy Geithner and Tom Daschle are prime examples of what we have to use as role models.

BK

We are cut of the same cloth. Stoplights, parking spaces, whether anyone is around or not, I follow the rules, but especially if others are involved. I get annoyed in a parking lot when someone will let cars back up behind them while waiting longer than is reasonable to get a certain spot, and that's not technically "wrong" like your situation. And, yah, I'd have probably honked, too. Gah.

I WOULD BE SOOO ANNOYED IF I WERE YOU!

I'm sorry you had to deal with that. I hope her children will learn something from interacting with your son--who has a mother who knows how to be considerate. Yeesh.

It makes me think of my college apartment-mate who would park in the space blocked off to allow access to the stairways--but if she saw the bball players from the first floor do it she'd tattle. This mom-in-pink is clearly the center of the universe and you should just let her be more important than everyone else, ha!

Seriously though, I hope that woman gets a terrible haircut. She deserves it. (and that's what I wish on people who are mean) :)
