Sometimes I miss watching the news, but I tell myself I'm better off not adding to my stress by seeing all the crazy stuff going on in the world.

Is the boy feeling better? I am so sorry his friends weren't there to play with him last Thursday - I couldn't tear them from their grandmother's grip!

I have cleaned out my blogs that I read. Some are just a little too negative and you just can't listen to negativity all the time without it rubbing off. My mom always said, you choose to be cheerful - part of choosing cheer is avoiding negativity!

Like I said, missed you at the study tonight - it's funny, every week has been a different group so far! (-: Quite entertaining.

Sorry about the day care mom - people can be incredibly rude and incredibly clueless all at the same time. I think it is awesome that you confront people - I am kind of a wuss about things like that and wish I were better at confrontation.

~eva

De-cluttering is not my thing. I have such a hard time getting rid of things...like I may at some time gain 20 pounds and need those pants from college. It is defiantly one of my goals for the year.

Exactly. Balance... and changing what you don't like! Everyone needs to unload every once in a while, but constant whining about ones life is like nails on the chalkboard!

Yep, I can relate to that. Sadly, I've actually *added* a couple hundred blogs to my reader of late for various reasons in various categories, but I've been unsubscribing, too. Negativity hasn't really been my thing in a whole lotta years, and if I can't stand the whine in my own voice, I'm probably not going to spend much time seeking it out a whole lot in the voice of someone else. Of course, when it's the case that something just really shitty happens to someone, that's different entirely. Constant whine about day to day stuff and hating the spouse or the kids doesn't appeal to me, but someone sharing the good and the bad while working through a painful bit of life is more than worthwhile to read much of the time. It's a balance, I guess. ;)
