Once we got to Dallas (well, Frisco, but whatev), we ate at Chick-Fil-A and then went to the Allen Outlets where I was able to get some good deals on clothes and shoes for The Boy in the next size, some pants for Kevin, a scarf, sweater and two purses (ha ha) for me. We were exhausted, but it was great to get out. The Boy… well, he charmed people everywhere, but wow is it hard to shop with him. I know why I don’t go often and haven’t bought myself new clothes, especially the pants I desperately need, in a long time.
Sunday morning was low key, but after eating at the Cotton Patch (so so good and TX sized portions), we went to Ikea, where I accidently picked up the wrong box, so I now own two awesome kid sized chairs, but no table. Fortunately Sharon says they’ll grab the table and bring it to me. After a lot of thought yesterday, the shelves I don’t want are going back. I got a few additional things, but nothing like I would have if The Boy wasn’t racing around like a mad kid! I didn’t get meatballs (boo), but I did get some of those awesome preserves that I just about licked off my plate in Germany. I was pregnant, so be sure you get a REALLY good laugh! I love Ikea.
After leaving Ikea, I was introduced to the Container Store. I love that place too! Organization galore, and I love to organize!
In the evening, Bethany came by to visit.
The drive back Monday did not go as smoothly as the drive down, but we made it. TomTom tried to make me go home through Oklahoma City, but fortunately I realized that before I got on the Dallas Tollway, so I turned around and went the way I thought we should have been going in the first place. I didn’t stop for donut holes, and boy did I pay the price. The Boy refused to nap on his own on the way home, so the last 45 minutes he whined… a lot. When we got home, he fell asleep within five minutes. Oh well… lesson learned. Always bring donut holes. LOL!
It was great to get out of Tulsa and see some friends. I hope to go back again before too long!
