We had our regular date Friday night, but I think it might have to be our last one. Eating at 630 and getting home at 830 is just too much for The Boy when his regular bed time is 7. I’m a bit bummed, because it’s my chance to talk to real live adults… usually the last chance until Monday! On the other hand, it makes for a horrible drive home and Saturday and is stressing me out, so yeah…

Saturday, I made cauliflower soup courtesy of The Pioneer Woman. The end result looks just like her pictures. I knew I couldn’t eat it all alone, so I invited Paul and Brooke. OK, I invited them and then made the soup, but still. If I had an extra wide straw, I would have sucked down the entire pot of soup. I didn’t have whole milk, so I used what I had (2% ironically, since we usually have skim), and I also lacked half and half, so I used heavy whipping cream. The end result was absolutely delicious!

Brooke helped The Boy with his photog skills. Check them out!

Sunday, Anthony and Ryean came by for roast beef. It was also a winner!

Oh, and the dryer is still broken. I know the basketball wives reading will get a kick out of my “dryer.”  All of my training in Europe is coming in handy. I do a load a day, because I only have a small rack here, but it is strategically placed near a heater vent. LOL!
