I wish I could say that Sunday was better than Saturday, but it was not. Point blank it stunk. I wasn’t feeling real well in the morning, so we skipped church. Thankfully. Because by The Boy’s nap time, I was down for the count. There were some cute moments– like when I told him I could not do something he’d asked for (I don’t remember the details) because “mama is sick.” He replied, “mama need bowl. mama throw up. it ok.” as he held the bowl in front of my face. Fortunately, I made it to the toilet though. I’ll spare you the details, but I stayed on the couch most of the day. I felt like I had been hit by a bus. Unfortunately, in the middle of Pukefest 2009, our dryer broke. Grr…I think that was Saturday, but it all runs together.

Monday I felt better, so I went to work…just tired. Not much to report.

Tuesday, the Rice’s and I took our children to Incredible Pizza and had an incredible time. Much better than Chuck-E-Cheese– food, atmosphere, everything. We spent the night at the Rice’s, because I had to fly to Dallas on Wednesday, so they took The Boy to school and picked him up.

Wednesday– I was in Dallas basically all day. Caught an earlier flight home though, so I was able to put The Boy to bed.

Thursday– I got nothing.

Friday– today… we’ll see how it goes.

To recap…

  • There was more puke.
  • The dryer broke.
  • The Envoy is making a funny noise.
  • My thyroid appears to be swollen so I need a doctor’s visit for that.
  • My vacation is undoubtedly postponed thanks to a wire transfer that is lost somewhere between Dubai and the U.S. (seriously… sixteen days since it was sent… nine since it left Dubai)
  • And one tired mommy.

On the other hand, I am reading a book called “The Worn Out Woman,” which really is helping me to keep all this craziness from impacting my mood too much. I feel happy, blessed and well pretty dang good all things considered. :)
