Well, The Boy is short and light according to the nurse’s measurements. Thirty-four inches and twenty-seven pounds. That’s the twenty-fifth and forty-fifth percentiles. He dropped and continues to drop, but whatever. The doctor is unconcerned, because he is still growing and meeting all of his developmental milestones., eating well, etc. I am unconcerned as well. He is continues to grow and does not exhibit additional signs of an underlying problem. I think this is one time when my “he’ll develop at his own pace” attitude is especially helpful.
Several times the doctor mentioned how great The Boy is, and I have to give The Boy a high five. He did not cry one time. He sat on their scale all nice and proper. He spoke to the doctor and allowed him to push on his tummy and twist his knees around without resisting. He asked politely for some water. The Boy was on his best behavior!
Oh yeah…his head is in the seventy-fifth percentile, I don’t know where he gets such a big noggin from… LOL!
