…a day late, but not a dollar short. We have been busy busy busy!

I had to work Christmas Eve, but after I picked up The Boy from daycare, he opened one present before we went over to Paul and Brooke’s for their bash. After he stuffed himself to the point of vomiting (all over his shirt and the floor), we went on over to Virginia’s parents spot. The other kids were already home in bed, but that did not stop The Boy from playing with a badminton racket and balloon for two hours. Straight. Seriously, the kid’s attention span is unreal.

The Boy crashed around ten, and I RACED to set up this train set. Let me tell you… thank goodness it comes with pictures and directions, because there is no way I would of figured out how to do it like the picture on the box without the directions! This is what I saw as I started taking things out of the box.

Thanks mom for the train set. I think I have “fixed” it a thousand times already.

More gift opening fun on his blog soon.

In the afternoon, we went to my friend Melissa’s parent’s house. Oddly enough, I didn’t take any pictures, but we did have fun! Her step-dad was asking some questions about TU and when I said I rowed at TU, he said “our neighbor’s son rows for the national team.” Now, there are not that many people from Oklahoma rowing on the national team, so I asked who he was talking about, figuring it was Cody Lowry. Sure enough, he said “Lowry,” and I laughed. I rowed with Cody’s wife, Sue, while I was at TU.  I texted Sue, and they stopped by for a quick visit.

We left in time to get the boy to bed closer to his bed time, but dang if he hasn’t been cranky.

I have been cooking a lot of food for my friends, the Madjid’s, because their little boys are in the NICU. They came by the house tonight during the down time and ate. I sent them away with a big box of frozen meals that I made– home made beef and barley soup, chicken tortellini soup, lasagna, banana muffins… I am sure there were more, but the box was full…for now. I told them to bring the glad ware back so I could fill it again.  It made my day. I love helping my friends, and they have always been wonderful to me, so now it is my turn to give back to them. :)
