If I had to use one word to describe life on this side of that pond, that is it!  I do not know why I always tell myself that after I finish X, life will slow down. Guess what? It never slows down! At the last minute, I did a little shopping. The Boy needed new pjs, which turned in to, I bought some in 3T thinking they’d be a bit big, but he could wear them next fall/winter. Um, I put on a pair of 2Ts (same brand) that I also picked up, and let me tell you. He can’t grow an inch and have them fit. I put on a 3T sweater that I had purchased on clearance last spring and only had to roll the sleeves up an inch. His shoes… also too small.

Back on track– gifts are wrapped and under the tree. Only once has The Boy asked to open any one of them. I did not really buy anything much for The Boy, because the Grandparents took more than care of that.

I need to pick up a couple of bottles of wine for gifts to the people who have kindly opened their homes up to us on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, but other than that, I am so ready for the Light to shine down.

On the less hectic, in a way, but equally not fascinating side of life, The Boy apparently has been suffering from the cold dry air and woke up this morning with blood all over his face! He had a bloody nose in the night, and I did not notice it. The pillow also had blood all over it. Oh well. If it does not come out, it does not come out. I did go and purchase a humidifier and a space heater for his room. When I plugged it in, the heater said it was 64 in his room. I keep the house temp on 70 when we are home.

Let’s see…what else… I made a 3.5 this fall semester, so I’m cheering that. One step closer to graduation.

Kevin is unsure of if he will get his papers in time, so Dubai is back on the “places I want to see before I die” list. I am disappointed a bit, but only because I do not know for sure if we will see Kevin next month or not. We have a backup plan. I am going to go see friends in Europe. If he gets his papers in time, he’ll fly to Europe too. If not, well…I get to visit Europe.

The Boy had his school Christmas party Friday. It was a blast. Other than that…not much happening. Oh, he’s up. gotta go.
