On Thursday, The Boy and I went to the Gleason/Byrne family and friends Thanksgiving celebration. The food was amazing, as always, and we stuffed ourselves silly. I could not believe how much food The Boy ate…or desserts! Oh my!
To make the day/night even better, G and The Boy were great playmates. They chased each other silly and then did an obstacle course with the help of some adults. The obstacle course was followed by more chasing. They were so fun to watch! I see play dates in our futures!
We got home way past The Boy’s bed time, but it was worth it.
Thanksgiving Part Doux was also great! I made nutella cheesecake brownies to take over, and they were a hit. My friend, Eva, made the most amazing apple pie I think I have ever had in my life. Unfortunately, our friend E went to sleep when we got there and woke as we were leaving or I am sure there would be more fun Boy stories to tell. Maybe next time.
After we left Eva and Joel’s, we went over to Brooke and Paul’s house for an hour. I am sure they will have pictures up of The Boy at some point, as Brooke had her camera out snapping away.
We only stayed an hour so I could try to get The Boy to bed at his normal time. Well, closer to his normal time.
I am fortunate to have such great friends.
Today, I have been cleaning and playing with The Boy. I think having these extra days together so close to when Kevin left has been helpful for The Boy. He does have a bit of a cold right now, but overall, is over his whiny-ness.
***Also, as a reminder, if you want to see The Boy’s blog, send me an email so I can get you added to the viewers list. ***
