I just got the following email from my Division Chief.
“Maria– note below was clippef from email from personnel. Congratulations!
The promotion action will be effective 26 October 08, new total salary will be $XX,XXX per year. blah blah blah…
I cannot tell you how awesome this is. One of my complaints about my new position was that the new pay system was screwing me over. I got a few hundred dollars where as under the old system, I would have gotten thousands. Well, apparently my bosses like me enough to push the system, so now I have the salary I would have gotten this year without the old system (in spite of the new job) and potential for another biggie next year. With Kevin contemplating this being his last season of basketball (up to him), it makes the transition easier with a bit more income from me.
