I’ve been bad. Real bad. I have not posted on this blog much at all lately. For that, I apologize. I have been writing a lot over on A Piece of My Mind, but I know that means very little to our Life on Both Sides of the Pond readers. After all, many of you don’t give a whoot about breastfeeding. Moving on…
First and foremost, I have been very busy getting readmitted to my graduate school program. I am enrolled in two classes for this fall, and in the spring will finish up and (FINALLY) graduate! Par-tay!!! Doing it alone will be a challenge, and by alone, I mean with Kevin in another country, but let’s face it. I need to finish, and I can do anything. Sleep is optional.
Kevin is still waiting for a job. Asking me a million times a day will not change the situation, but I will keep hounding his agent. LOL! Trust me, when it happens, I will post about it here. In the mean time, be patient. Not that I will follow my own advice, but still.
Um… let’s see. What else. A friend (Bob Westvig) died this past weekend, and I am bummed about that. He owned the Dairy Queen in my hometown (with his wife). The DQ was my first job outside of the family businesses, and I worked there for four or five years. It all runs together these days.
What else? I am swamped at work, and The Boy is growing WAY too quickly. It is amazing to me what he can say and do…comprehend and communicate. Plus, the love this child can share– from hugs to kisses to playful banter. Sure, sometimes he is a pain in my ass, but overall an absolute joy. He is breathing a million times better– even with this little summer cold and congestion and FINALLY starting to sleep better!
Oh, and after I finish my Master’s degree, I am going to try to get my stuff together and become a LLL leader. I am really passionate about the cause, and I have someone manged to become the “go -to friend” when it comes to nursing. I really enjoy helping women be successful, and in some ways, I wish it were my career! Maybe in another life. LOL! Anyway, I am going to start talking to some of my leader friends and see what happens.
So there you have it. A quick update of where and what we are.
