Every time I go here, it is emotional for me. All politics aside, I’m not exactly sure why. Maybe because it seems like the Veterans from Vietnam are so under appreciated and were the recipients of uncalled for venom.  No matter if “we” agree with the politics of a war, the soldiers who fight under our flag, deserve our respect.
The Reflecting Pool
Another place that always draws emotion from me is the Korean War Memorial. I am certain this is, at least in part, due to my Grandpa. He is a veteran.
Overall, it was a great Sunday as a family– even with the sunburn. :)
